According to PennDOT, a lane restriction will be in place on the southbound Route 222 bridge over Cocalico Creek from 2:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, weather permitting.

Drivers are encouraged to plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes if possible, especially during peak daytime hours when traffic volumes are typically higher.

The repairs are part of an ongoing $8.5 million pavement preservation project along a 3.3-mile stretch of Route 222 in Manheim, Warwick, and West Earl townships. The broader project includes resurfacing, milling, base repairs, concrete patching, guiderail improvements, pavement marking updates, and sign replacements.

PennDOT said most roadway work associated with the project has already been completed. However, additional lane and ramp closures may still be required near the Route 772 (Brownstown/Rothsville) interchange to finish remaining work items.
