PHILADELPHIA, PA — Drivers across Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties should prepare for daytime and overnight lane closures beginning Tuesday, September 8, as PennDOT schedules milling, paving, and utility work on six highway corridors.

In Bucks County, Route 663 (John Fries Highway) will have a weekday lane closure with flagging between the Montgomery County line and Route 309 (West End Boulevard). Work is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM beginning Tuesday, September 8, and continuing through Friday, November 27.
The Route 663 restrictions will affect Quakertown Borough and Milford and Richland townships.
In Montgomery County, Ashbourne Road/Montgomery Avenue/Central Avenue will have a lane closure with flagging between Washington Lane and Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) in Cheltenham Township. Restrictions are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and again from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday.
Philadelphia drivers will encounter several restrictions:
- Girard Avenue between Lancaster Avenue and Lansdowne Drive will have overnight lane closures from Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Berkley Street/Roberts Avenue between Germantown Avenue and Henry Avenue will have daytime closures Tuesday through Friday, followed by overnight paving closures Thursday and Friday.
- Ridge Avenue between Domino Lane and Spring Garden Street will have daytime preparation work and overnight milling Tuesday through Friday.
In Delaware County, I-95 (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway) will have overnight lane closures between Wanamaker Avenue and the Philadelphia County line in Tinicum Township from Wednesday, September 16, through Friday, September 18. Restrictions are scheduled from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays are expected through the work areas. Seek alternate routes when possible. All scheduled activities depend on weather conditions.
The restrictions are part of multiple contracts to repair and resurface more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
