KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Recovery Centers of America (RCA) announced that three of its treatment facilities are now in-network with Optum, one of the nation’s largest health insurers, expanding affordable access to substance use disorder (SUD) care across Indiana, South Carolina, and New Jersey.

The partnership covers a wide range of services at each location. RCA at Indianapolis now offers Optum members in-network access to all levels of SUD care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). RCA is also working with Optum to secure future approval for mental health services, pending one year of outcomes data.

RCA at Greenville has added PHP and IOP to its in-network offerings, complementing existing detox and residential coverage. The expansion positions Greenville among the few providers in the region offering full-spectrum, in-network treatment.

In New Jersey, RCA at Lighthouse joins Optum’s provider network, strengthening RCA’s ability to deliver comprehensive treatment options to patients across the state.

With Optum now added to existing agreements with Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna, RCA estimates its facilities in New Jersey, South Carolina, and Indiana now cover 85% to 90% of all commercially insured individuals in those states.

“Patients and families shouldn’t have to navigate a maze of insurance coverage when seeking life-saving care,” said Mark Faselle, RCA’s vice president of payor relations. “With Optum now in-network, we can provide peace of mind to patients and referral sources alike, knowing that in most cases, treatment will be covered.”
