The overnight restrictions will reduce traffic by one lane in each affected direction during scheduled work periods. PennDOT warns that backups and delays will occur, and drivers should allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes.

The work is part of a $6.2 million state-funded project to resurface and repair 4.4 miles of U.S. 422. Additional improvements include asphalt milling and resurfacing, pavement markings, edge-line rumble strips and roadway base repairs as needed.

Allan Myers Inc. of Worcester is the general contractor. The construction schedule is weather dependent.
