- Dates: June 28, 2026, and, if needed, June 29, 2026
- Times: 9:00 PM-6:00 AM
- Reason: Overhead sign installation
According to PennDOT, a left lane restriction and intermittent rolling traffic stops of up to 15 minutes will be in place on southbound Route 222 between the Landis Valley Road overpass and Route 30 during overnight work.
The work is scheduled for the night of Sunday, June 28, and, if necessary, the night of Monday, June 29, weather permitting.
No detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic is periodically stopped to allow crews to safely install new overhead sign structures. Plan extra time for overnight travel and seek alternate routes if possible.
The sign installation is part of the larger Route 30/Route 222 Interchange Improvement Project, which includes widening Route 222 from four lanes to six lanes, adding new ramp lanes, replacing two bridges carrying Route 222 ramps over Route 30, and improving traffic flow throughout the interchange.
Drivers traveling through the corridor should remain alert for changing traffic patterns, obey all work zone signage, and use caution when approaching rolling traffic stops.
