LANCASTER, PA — Keystone Custom Homes captured five awards, including Best of Show, at the 2026 Lancaster Parade of Homes, underscoring continued demand for high-end, amenity-rich homes in one of central Pennsylvania’s most active residential markets.

The Lancaster-based builder said its newly opened Covington Cottage model home in the Trails at Village Park community in Lampeter earned awards for Best of Show, Best Kitchen, Best Decorated, Best Interior Design and Best Bath. The home also received an honorable mention for Best Exterior.

The recognition comes as Keystone continues to expand its footprint in Lancaster County. The company opened Trails at Village Park in June 2025 and has already sold 13 homes in the development, according to the company.

The award-winning model home opened in April and incorporates several custom features aimed at showcasing lifestyle-oriented design trends, including a home gym, themed children’s bedrooms and a basement café with a wet bar and beverage refrigerator.

“I’m extremely proud of our team and the work they put in to build this beautiful home,” said Mike Klaips, regional sales manager for Keystone Custom Homes. “This recognition reinforces our commitment to building homes our buyers are proud to live in.”

The Lancaster Parade of Homes, organized by the Building Industry Association of Lancaster, features newly constructed homes across Lancaster and neighboring counties. Entries are judged against comparable homes based on price point and square footage before opening to the public for tours.

Awards were presented June 12 during the Parade of Homes Gala, and participating homes were open to visitors from June 13 through June 21, excluding Monday and Tuesday. The event annually attracts thousands of attendees.

Keystone’s Trails at Village Park community has drawn buyers seeking proximity to downtown Lancaster while maintaining access to suburban amenities. The development borders Village Park, which includes sports fields, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, a roller rink, the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA and a public pool.

The latest awards add to Keystone’s visibility in a competitive housing market where builders increasingly use model homes to differentiate their communities and attract buyers seeking move-in-ready designs and lifestyle amenities.
