Highmark Mann Center Names John Maggard to Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Highmark Mann Center for the Performing Arts announced the appointment of John Maggard to its board of directors, adding a project management professional with experience in clinical operations and team leadership.

Maggard, a senior manager at AbbVie, brings more than 20 years of experience in project management and team development, the organization said.

He will support the Highmark Mann Center’s mission as it marks its 50th anniversary and continues expanding programming and community engagement efforts.

“We are thrilled to welcome John to Highmark Mann at this exciting moment in our history,” said President and CEO Catherine M. Cahill.

Maggard currently oversees a team of clinical specialists managing trial supply and patient randomization processes in clinical research, according to the organization.

“Music has always played an important role in shaping my identity,” Maggard said, adding that he looks forward to contributing to an institution that brings people together through the arts.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from DePauw University and certifications in project management.

The Highmark Mann Center, located in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park, hosts concerts and educational programs and serves as the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
