PHILADELPHIA, PA — Soccer fans looking for a lively place to cheer on their favorite teams this summer will find plenty of energy, culture, and community at Mamajuana Cafe Philly, where the Northern Liberties and Fishtown destination is transforming into a hub for international soccer celebrations through July 19.
As the world’s biggest international soccer tournament brings visitors and excitement to Philadelphia, Mamajuana Cafe plans to embrace the global spirit of the competition with watch parties, themed brunches, live entertainment, specialty cocktails, and game-day dining experiences inspired by Latin American culture.
Located at 1000 Frankford Ave., the restaurant will host viewing parties throughout the tournament, including 10 marquee matchups shown on a large-screen setup. Organizers say the goal is to create an atmosphere where fans from around the world can gather to celebrate both the sport and the diverse cultures represented on the pitch.
“Philadelphia hosting the biggest sporting event in the world is huge for our city,” said Mamajuana Cafe Philly Co-Owner David Heredia. “The tournament is the perfect way to unite the world, bring soccer fans together, showcase our neighborhood and celebrate our Latin and Global spirit and flavors.”
Heredia added, “Soccer connects people across borders, languages and cultures — and that is exactly what we do every night at this restaurant. We are open to the entire world, and this summer, everyone is welcome here.”
The restaurant’s schedule includes featured watch parties for several high-profile matches, beginning with the tournament opener on June 11. Guests can expect live music, themed décor representing participating nations, special giveaways, and food and drink offerings designed specifically for the tournament.
A series of themed Sunday brunches will also bring extra excitement to the summer lineup. Planned events include the Carnaval Mundial Brunch Extravaganza on June 14, a Father’s Day-themed brunch celebration on June 21, and a Tropical Brunch Experience on June 28. Each event will feature live DJs, entertainment, and the restaurant’s signature festive atmosphere.
Mamajuana Cafe’s culinary team has also developed a special game-day menu featuring items such as tacos, burgers, wings, loaded nachos, sushi, calamari, empanadas, and soccer-themed desserts. A custom cocktail program includes drinks inspired by participating nations and tournament themes, ranging from tropical caipirinhas to sparkling wine cocktails.
Fans attending watch parties can also expect a few unique touches, including a soccer-themed mascot, limited-edition souvenir drinkware, and tournament decorations throughout the venue. The restaurant’s recently opened outdoor patio will provide additional viewing opportunities during select matches.
One of the biggest celebrations will take place during the tournament’s championship match on July 19, when Mamajuana Cafe hosts its Grand Finale Watch Party featuring live entertainment and a DJ.
