PHILADELPHIA, PA — Enigma Networks has secured two new healthcare-sector customers and renewed an existing clinical technology account, expanding adoption of its internal network security platform as organizations seek to limit the damage attackers can cause after gaining access to corporate systems.
The Philadelphia cybersecurity company said Clutch Health and an unnamed U.S. healthcare products manufacturer have adopted its Enigma AI platform, while clinical trial technology provider YPrime has renewed its subscription.
The agreements reflect demand for network segmentation technology, which restricts communication between systems to prevent an initial security breach from spreading across an organization’s infrastructure.
Clutch Health selected Enigma AI after completing a pilot evaluation. The company, which handles sensitive healthcare information, is deploying the technology to improve visibility into internal network activity and strengthen controls governing communication between connected systems.
“Enigma AI acts like an always-on security engineer,” said Ed Dunkelberger, chief information security officer at Clutch Health. “It continuously analyzes our environment to identify what matters and then proactively delivers those insights to our team.”
YPrime renewed its subscription to support network segmentation across its Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems. The clinical trial technology provider uses the platform to identify unnecessary connections and restrict pathways that could allow threats to spread.
Enigma Networks also signed an agreement with a U.S. manufacturer of critical healthcare products following a pilot at one of its production facilities. The manufacturer operates multiple facilities, although the company was not identified.
Enigma AI analyzes connected devices and systems to determine their operational functions and the network communications required to perform them. It then identifies unnecessary connections and generates segmentation policies intended to limit access between systems.
The approach is designed to reduce the potential reach of attackers who obtain legitimate credentials or exploit trusted network connections, circumstances that can make malicious activity difficult to distinguish from authorized operations.
Enigma Networks is positioning the technology around containment rather than relying exclusively on detecting threats before systems are compromised.
“AI has reduced the perimeter to little more than a speed bump, and security teams increasingly have to assume they will be breached,” said Bob Moul, the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer.
The platform is designed to operate with existing security infrastructure, using automated analysis to identify unnecessary trust relationships and support faster detection and containment.
Mark Viglione, Enigma Networks’ co-founder and chief technology officer, said advances in AI-assisted attacks are shifting security priorities toward limiting the consequences of a breach.
“For years, we optimized for vulnerabilities. AI is forcing us to optimize for blast radius,” Viglione said.
The new agreements extend Enigma Networks’ presence in healthcare, life sciences and manufacturing, sectors where interconnected systems support sensitive data processing, clinical research and production operations.
