PHILADELPHIA, PA — Enigma Networks completed a SOC 2 Type I audit as cybersecurity firms race to address growing enterprise concerns over internal network security and AI-driven lateral attack activity in regulated industries.
The company announced the audit followed an independent third-party examination of its security controls and organizational processes tied to customer data protection and infrastructure governance.
The certification comes as enterprises increasingly shift security priorities beyond perimeter defense and identity management toward monitoring trusted internal network communications, particularly as artificial intelligence tools accelerate the speed of cyber intrusions and lateral movement inside compromised systems.
Enigma develops what it describes as a Zero Trust for Internal Networks platform, designed to monitor and govern system-to-system communications across information technology, operational technology, cloud, and internet-connected device environments.
“Enterprise security teams are trusting Enigma AI with visibility into their most sensitive internal communications,” Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Mark Viglione said in a statement.
The company argues that many enterprise environments continue operating under implicit internal trust models even after broader adoption of zero-trust access frameworks.
“As enterprises confront the reality that breaches are inevitable, the focus is shifting from prevention alone to containment and control,” Chief Executive Officer Bob Moul said.
Enigma indicated it is pursuing a SOC 2 Type II examination as part of its broader compliance and audit roadmap.
