WEST READING, PA — Customers Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: CUBI), the parent of Customers Bank, was included among 500 financial institutions in Forbes’ inaugural World’s Top Performing Banks 2026 ranking, giving the roughly $27 billion-asset lender additional recognition as it competes across commercial and consumer banking markets.

The Forbes ranking, produced with Statista, evaluated banks using a standardized framework covering profitability, growth and earnings quality, capital and funding resilience, and asset quality and efficiency. The 500 banks selected represent 88 countries.

Customers Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Sam Sidhu said the recognition reflects the bank’s operating strategy and investments in technology.

Customers Bancorp has approximately $27 billion in assets and ranks among the 80 largest U.S. bank holding companies by assets, according to the company.

Its banking operations span commercial and consumer markets, including commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate, residential and personal lending. Customers Bank also operates national businesses in fund finance, venture banking, healthcare, mortgage finance and equipment finance.

The Forbes recognition adds to a series of industry rankings cited by the company. Customers Bank has been named a top-performing bank by American Banker for six consecutive years from 2021 through 2026, including a No. 1 ranking among midsize banks with $10 billion to $50 billion in assets in 2024.

Customers Bancorp also ranked No. 45 among the 100 largest publicly traded banks on Forbes’ 2026 Best Banks list.

The bank reported a Net Promoter Score of 81, compared with an industry average of 41. Customers Bank is a member of the Federal Reserve System, and its deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
