PHILADELPHIA, PA — Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA) is offering subsidies of as much as $1,300 on Apple’s newest iPhones as the cable and broadband provider uses high-value device promotions to drive adoption of its Xfinity Mobile Plus and Comcast Business Mobile services.
New and existing customers with a Mobile Plus line can receive an iPhone 18 Pro Max at no device cost with an eligible trade-in, or receive as much as $1,300 off another new iPhone model with an eligible trade-in. Mobile Plus customers without a trade-in can receive $400 off the latest iPhone lineup.
Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile will carry the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo.
Preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max begin at 8 a.m. ET Sept. 12, with availability starting Sept. 18. The iPhone Duo will be available for preorder Oct. 16 and go on sale Oct. 23.
The device incentives reinforce Comcast’s effort to bundle wireless service more closely with its broader connectivity business. Xfinity Mobile’s Mobile Plus plan costs $45 a month and includes annual device upgrades, device protection and unlimited data in more than 215 destinations, according to the company.
Comcast said Xfinity Mobile combines access to 23 million WiFi hotspots with a nationwide 5G network.
The company is extending the new Apple lineup and device offers to small businesses through Comcast Business Mobile, which is available exclusively to Comcast Business Internet customers.
Businesses can choose between Pro and Standard unlimited plans and mix the two across accounts with as many as 20 lines.
The Pro plan includes unlimited high-speed data with priority during network congestion, 4K UHD video and 40 GB of 5G LTE hotspot data. It also includes Elite Upgrade, allowing businesses to exchange devices as many as twice within a 12-month period while Comcast covers the remaining balance on the previous device, along with device protection through Xfinity Mobile Care.
The Standard plan includes 50 GB of high-speed data per line and HD video, starting at $20 per line each month. Device protection is available separately beginning at $9 a month.
Both business plans include unlimited talk and text and 10 GB of high-speed data across more than 215 destinations, along with WiFi hotspot access and no annual contract.
Comcast is also using prepaid incentives to attract business wireless customers. Through Oct. 11, new Comcast Business Mobile customers adding two Pro lines can receive a $1,600 prepaid gift card, followed by $800 for each additional Pro line, up to five lines.
The iPhone Duo opens to a 7.6-inch inner display and closes to a 5.4-inch outer display. It uses Apple’s A20 Pro processor and an eSIM-only design, with the folding format intended to support multitasking and additional camera configurations.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max also use the A20 Pro processor and add a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. The Duo and Pro models run iOS 27 and include Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, with the new Siri system rolling out in beta in English.
The iPhone Duo will be offered in star white and night sky. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be available in black, silver, glacier and burgundy.
