PHILADELPHIA, PA — One of Philadelphia’s most beloved holiday traditions is back, bigger and brighter than ever. Christmas Village in Philadelphia, presented by Bank of America, will return to LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and the North Broad section from Thanksgiving Day, November 27, through Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, with preview days on November 22 and 23.

Now in its 18th year, the authentic German-style market will feature more than 120 local and international vendors, a 65-foot illuminated Ferris wheel, a double-decker carousel, and thousands of twinkling lights. This year’s standout attraction will be a new 30-foot-tall traditional German Christmas Pyramid—a towering wooden structure adorned with lights and handcrafted figures—that promises to become the city’s most photographed holiday landmark.

“We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to Christmas Village in Philadelphia for our 18th season,” said Thomas Bauer, president of Christmas Village. “This year will be especially memorable as we debut our new traditional German Christmas Pyramid—a project we’ve been working on for many years. It brings an authentic touch of German holiday tradition right to the heart of the city.”

The new pyramid will illuminate LOVE Park against the backdrop of City Hall, joining returning favorites like the Ferris wheel, the carousel, and the Kids Train presented by SEPTA. Visitors can also enjoy the Festival of Trees fundraiser at the LOVE Park Welcome Center, benefitting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Beyond the attractions, the market will serve up seasonal food and drink, including German bratwurst grilled over open flames, Swiss cheese sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, churros, and hot mulled wine from Mazza Wines. The new Snowflake Cocktail Bar, presented by Boardroom Spirits, will feature festive winter drinks served in ornament-shaped glasses.

“Christmas Village has become a beloved family tradition in the heart of Center City,” said Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Commissioner Susan Slawson. “It spreads holiday spirit while providing opportunities for small businesses to thrive and showcase their unique offerings.”

The market will also feature live entertainment, holiday workshops, and special themed weekends such as German American Weekend on December 13–14 and the first annual Ugly Sweater Contest on December 19.

Since its debut in 2008, Christmas Village has grown into one of America’s top authentic German Christmas markets and one of Philadelphia’s largest seasonal attractions. The event draws visitors from across the region to shop, dine, and celebrate amid the festive glow of Center City.
