GLENSIDE, PA — Arcadia University has partnered with Acts Retirement-Life Communities to provide workforce training programs for employees across the organization.
The agreement gives Acts team members access to Arcadia’s catalogue of more than 150 workforce certificate programs, with a focus on allied health roles, building trades, and leadership development.
The programs are offered through Arcadia’s Workforce Development initiative in partnership with Core Education and include industry-recognized certifications in fields such as healthcare, information technology, business, and manufacturing.
Many of the programs qualify for continuing education units or professional development credits and are available in online and hybrid formats designed for working professionals.
Acts Retirement-Life Communities, based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, operates 28 continuing care retirement communities across nine East Coast states and employs more than 8,600 workers serving approximately 11,000 residents.
“Arcadia University’s Workforce Development initiative was created to help employers invest in their greatest asset—their people—by providing opportunities to upskill and reskill employees,” said John Noakes, associate provost and director of the Center for Professional Futures at Arcadia University.
Jo Anne Hartman, vice president of education and research at Acts, said the partnership is intended to support employee development and prepare staff to meet evolving industry demands.
The initiative is part of Arcadia’s broader effort to expand access to career-focused training programs aligned with workforce needs.
