According to PennDOT, maintenance crews will repair the road base on Route 772 (Main Street) between the intersection with East Newport Road and Rothsville Road, near the White Swan restaurant, and Church Road.
Work is scheduled to take place Monday through Wednesday, June 15 through June 17, weather permitting.
During construction, motorists should expect single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers throughout active work hours. Traffic will alternate through the work zone, which could result in backups and slower travel times.
No detour has been announced, but drivers are encouraged to plan extra time for their trips and seek alternate routes if possible, especially during peak daytime travel periods.
PennDOT is reminding motorists to remain alert, obey work zone signage, and use caution when traveling through the area to help protect both road crews and fellow drivers.
