MIQUON, PA — Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania will expand its 2027 cookie lineup with its first dog treat and first cookie designed to avoid major food allergens, extending the fundraising program to new consumers when sales begin Jan. 21.
The two products, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables, will be available exclusively online for direct shipping during the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season, which runs through late March in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Patch Pals, developed with BARK (NYSE: BARK), are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored cookies made for dogs. The treats will sell for $9 per package.
Each dog cookie features one of four patch designs based on Girl Scout activities. The product marks the first time the Girl Scout cookie lineup has included an offering specifically for pets.
Girl Scout Sparkables, developed with Partake, are crunchy oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and sprinkles. They will sell for $7 per package.
The cookies are produced in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens, according to Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. The organization described Sparkables as its first allergy-friendly cookie, adding an option for families navigating common food allergies.
Both products were developed after Girl Scouts advocated for expanding the lineup to accommodate a broader range of families and their pets, according to the organization.
The online-only products will sit at the upper end of the council’s cookie pricing. Thin Mints, Caramel deLites and other traditional varieties will sell for $6 per package during the 2027 season, while the Caramel Chocolate Chip Gluten Free cookie will cost $7.
The new products also extend the Girl Scout Cookie Program beyond its traditional packaged-cookie market. BARK, the publicly traded pet-products company behind Patch Pals, gives the organization an entry into pet treats, while Partake specializes in products developed for consumers with food allergies.
Cookie sales serve as a fundraising and entrepreneurship program for Girl Scouts, with participants developing skills including goal setting, decision making, money management and business ethics.
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania said proceeds from its cookie sales remain local and support troops and activities including outdoor programs, travel, community service, STEM programs and leadership development.
Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will become available for online ordering and direct shipping in the Eastern Pennsylvania region on Jan. 21.
