WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Food and Drug Administration announced that Truly Good Foods has recalled its Grabeez The Big Cheese Snack Mix after discovering undeclared almonds and cashews in the product. This decision comes as a crucial precautionary measure to prevent potential life-threatening allergic reactions among individuals with severe nut allergies.

The recall pertains specifically to the 3.25-ounce packages of Grabeez The Big Cheese Snack Mix, identifiable by the UPC code 0 94184 00439 8 and a Best Before date of 04/16/25. These products were distributed to centers in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas and were available at retail locations across various states including Washington, D.C., Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia from August 23 to September 19, 2024.

This recall was initiated after a vigilant customer reported an incorrect package, which led the company to uncover that products containing tree nuts had been mislabeled, omitting the essential allergy information. The investigation revealed this mislabeling was due to a temporary failure in the production and packaging processes, resulting in some packages containing Healthy Trails Mix instead, which includes raisins, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and cashews.

To date, no adverse reactions have been reported, but the company is taking proactive measures to ensure consumer safety. Truly Good Foods is advising consumers who have purchased the affected snack mix to dispose of it immediately. Affected customers can request a full refund by visiting the company’s website at www.trulygoodfoods.com/grabeezrecall/. For further inquiries, consumers can contact the company directly at marketing@trulygoodfoods.com or via phone at 704-602-0610 during weekday business hours.
