WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police Department said officers arrested a Wilmington man Thursday in connection with a shooting earlier this month that left a woman hospitalized.
According to investigators, officers responded at about 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, to the area of West 5th and North Monroe streets for reports of a shooting.
Police said officers located a 20-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
The investigation was assigned to Detective Ryan Kilmon of the Criminal Investigations Division.
According to police, detectives identified 23-year-old Sati Lemon as a suspect during the investigation and obtained warrants for his arrest.
Investigators said Lemon was taken into custody without incident at about 11:48 a.m. Thursday, May 14, near 3rd and Lombard streets.
Lemon was charged with first-degree assault, five counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, four counts of first-degree reckless endangering, and two counts of criminal mischief under $1,000.
Police stated that Lemon was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $624,000 cash-only bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
