WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Health Department reported multiple food safety violations during inspections conducted April 22, 2026, at several establishments across the county.
At Big Yellow Mug in Lincoln University, inspectors cited plumbing issues, including leaking water under the mobile unit and sinks that were not draining, along with insufficient hot water supply and expired sanitizer test strips.
A follow-up inspection at Collective Coffee & Bakery in Glenmoore identified improperly stored butter held at 71°F, excessive sanitizer concentration, and the absence of a certified food manager, according to inspection reports.
Inspectors cited Primo Hoagies in West Chester for food temperature violations involving tomato sauce, lack of required thermometers, and sanitation concerns, including soiled vents and damaged equipment.
At Starbucks in Exton, inspectors noted cleaning deficiencies, improper mop storage, and a dishwasher temperature reading below required levels, along with the absence of a certified food manager.
A follow-up inspection at Target in Exton found multiple expired food products, including dairy, meat, and packaged items, which were discarded, along with sanitation issues in refrigeration areas.
The health department said inspection reports represent conditions observed at the time of the visit and may not reflect long-term compliance.
