Triple-I Campaign Wins Award After Georgia Tort Overhaul

Insurance Information Institute

MALVERN, PA — The Insurance Information Institute received a Silver Bulldog PR Award for a Georgia campaign supporting tort legislation enacted in 2025, recognizing the insurer-funded group’s use of advertising, petitions and direct appeals to lawmakers.

The campaign won in the Best Local/Hyperlocal Campaign category. Triple-I launched the effort in February 2025 to argue that litigation practices were contributing to higher insurance premiums and consumer costs.

The initiative included digital and physical billboards near the Georgia State Capitol and downtown Atlanta, an infographic linking litigation to insurance costs, and Facebook advertisements encouraging residents to contact legislators in support of Gov. Brian Kemp’s tort proposal.

Georgia lawmakers later approved a legal reform package that Kemp signed into law. Triple-I credited its campaign with helping build support for the legislation, though the organization did not provide independent evidence measuring its influence on lawmakers’ votes.

“Our Georgia awareness campaign played an important role in the General Assembly’s passage of significant tort legislation reform in 2025,” Triple-I Chief Executive Officer Sean Kevelighan stated.

The campaign generated more than 986,000 Facebook impressions and more than 20,000 clicks, producing a click-through rate of nearly 15%, according to Triple-I. The organization compared that result with what it described as a typical rate of 1% to 2%.

Users saw the advertisements an average of 4.9 times. A related letter-writing effort recruited 202 participants who sent 443 messages to Georgia lawmakers urging passage of Kemp’s proposal.

The award recognized the campaign’s Georgia-specific messaging and distribution strategy. Triple-I previously received honors from the Hermes Creative Awards and MarCom Awards for the same initiative.
