MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corp. has formed a strategic partnership with Epiroc Mexico to deploy wireless networking systems for mining operations in Mexico, targeting a market where demand is increasing for communications infrastructure capable of supporting automation, mobile equipment fleets and digital mining technologies.
The companies said the partnership combines Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh wireless networking platform with Epiroc Mexico’s mining equipment expertise and customer network. The initial focus will be on mining customers in Mexico, with the companies also evaluating opportunities to expand the collaboration across Epiroc’s broader global mining business.
Mining operations, particularly large open-pit mines, require communications systems that can adapt as vehicles, equipment and production areas shift over time. Rajant’s networking technology is designed to maintain connectivity without relying on fixed wireless infrastructure that must be frequently relocated or rebuilt.
The companies indicated the partnership is intended to improve operational visibility, reduce connectivity-related downtime and provide communications infrastructure capable of supporting increasingly automated mining operations.

Epiroc Mexico General Manager Björn Tisell characterized the agreement as part of the company’s digital transformation strategy for the mining sector.
“By combining Rajant’s industry-leading wireless networking technology with Epiroc’s mining expertise and customer proximity, we are enabling our customers to build more connected, productive, and sustainable operations,” Tisell stated.
César Rojas, Epiroc Mexico’s business line manager for digital solutions, said mining companies are increasingly adopting automation, fleet management and machine-data systems that require continuous wireless connectivity throughout mine sites.
