WAYNE, PA — Rosenberg & Parker has appointed Nathan Hummel to lead a new financial institutions practice, expanding the specialty broker’s work with banks, insurers and institutional investors on capital, credit-risk and trade-finance structures.
Hummel will advise clients on bank-fronted surety, standby letters of credit, guarantees, trade finance, risk transfer and credit-risk distribution. The appointment adds a dedicated practice for financial institutions confronting capital constraints and complex lending or risk-management needs.
He joins Rosenberg & Parker after holding senior roles at Allianz Trade, Capital One, WSFS/Bryn Mawr, Commerzbank and Morgan Stanley. His experience spans financial institutions, capital markets, trade finance and loan syndications.
Rosenberg & Parker President Jack Rosenberg indicated that the practice will use surety products as capital-management tools rather than limiting them to conventional bond placements.
“As we continue towards our vision to be the most sophisticated and innovative specialty broker in the world, Nathan’s experience and financial expertise leads our new Financial Institutions Practice in being an impactful value add for our clients,” Rosenberg stated.
Hummel described the practice as a resource for clients whose financing and risk-transfer needs cannot be addressed through standardized products.
“The most complex challenges aren’t solved with a standard product; they require technical expertise, creativity, and trusted relationships,” Hummel stated.
Hummel earned an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
