WAYNE, PA — Ecovyst (NYSE: ECVT) released its 2025 Sustainability Report outlining updated environmental performance metrics and progress toward its 2030 sustainability targets as demand grows for materials used in energy, refining, mining, and data infrastructure.

The report includes 2025 data covering health, safety, environment and security (HSES), greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water use, waste management, and other sustainability measures. The company said it continues to pursue operational improvements aimed at lowering emissions intensity while supporting industries tied to cleaner fuels and electrification.

Ecovyst supplies virgin sulfuric acid, sulfuric acid regeneration services, sulfuric acid derivatives, and related industrial services used across refining, mining, petrochemicals, and manufacturing.

Chief Executive Officer Kurt J. Bitting said the company’s sulfur-based products remain integral to several industrial processes, including the production of alkylate for cleaner-burning gasoline and copper refining for electrical applications.

“Our 2030 sustainability goals continue to guide us as we build on our successes in sulfuric acid regeneration,” Bitting said. He added that the company is working to further reduce greenhouse gas intensity through optimization programs, software upgrades, and future artificial intelligence integration.

The company said sulfuric acid regeneration supports production of alkylate, a gasoline blending component that helps refiners meet emissions and fuel-efficiency standards by reducing sulfur content and increasing octane.
