EXTON, PA — Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) (NASDAQ: ISSC) has unveiled its new FAA certified digital Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System (EICAS) Display System, designed as an enhancement to its B757/B767 Flat Panel Display System (FPDS). This cutting-edge system addresses CRT obsolescence issues, offering a weight reduction of 40 pounds, which translates into significant fuel savings and improved power efficiency. Its straightforward design ensures minimal installation downtime, with installations already underway for launch customers.
The EICAS Display System includes a 10.4-inch LCD that matches the existing FPDS displays and integrates seamlessly via scan converter modules. This setup allows for swift installation, facilitated by a modified cockpit panel and display mounting plate. Pilots will experience minimal training adjustments, as the system replicates current CRT EICAS data while expanding display space for additional alerts.
Larry Riddle, Vice President of Commercial Sales & Marketing, stated, “As the trend of reconfiguring B757/B767 aircraft for cargo operations continues, these planes offer a cost-effective solution for both legacy carriers and newer operators expanding their air cargo platforms. The addition of an EICAS display to the IS&S system enhances the FPDS, delivering improved economy, safety benefits, and unmatched reliability.”
The latest EICAS Display System by IS&S presents a robust solution for avionic professionals seeking enhanced operational efficiency and reliability in their aircraft fleets.
