Energage Merges With Engagedly to Broaden HR Platform

Exton-based Energage

EXTON, PA — Energage has merged with Engagedly to combine employee engagement data, talent management tools and employer-brand services in a single platform as competition intensifies across the human resources technology market.

Energage, the company behind the Top Workplaces recognition program, brings workplace culture research drawn from more than 30 million employee surveys across 80,000 organizations. Engagedly adds software for performance management, employee development, learning, rewards and recognition, and support for frontline workers.

The combined platform is intended to help employers measure employee sentiment, manage workforce performance and promote their workplace culture through one technology system.

Energage Chief Executive Officer Eric Rubino said the transaction will allow the company to apply its workplace research more directly to employee management.

“This merger accelerates our vision of turning those insights into action — bringing workplace experience and talent management together in one intelligent platform,” Rubino said.

Engagedly’s technology will also give Energage artificial intelligence capabilities designed to convert employee data and workplace research into recommendations for managers.

“AI-enabled talent management reaches its full potential when it’s grounded in proven expertise,” Engagedly co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Srikant Chellappa said.

Fairmount Partners served as financial adviser to Energage. Troutman Pepper provided U.S. legal counsel, while DSK Legal served as the company’s legal adviser in India.

Western Alliance Bank’s Innovation Banking Group provided financing for the transaction. Drake Star acted as Engagedly’s exclusive financial adviser.
