WAYNE, PA — Education Management Solutions secured a contract to supply simulation and training technology across North Carolina’s 58-member community college system, expanding the company’s reach in healthcare and first-responder education.
The North Carolina Community College System selected EMS following a request-for-quote process, the Wayne-based company reported. Financial terms and the contract’s duration were not disclosed.
Participating colleges will be able to purchase EMS equipment for healthcare and emergency-response programs that rely on simulated clinical scenarios and recorded training sessions.
EMS plans to provide its Training in Motion platform, which supports video capture, live streaming, playback and instructor-led debriefing at the point of instruction.
The mobile system can be deployed in classrooms, clinical skills laboratories, healthcare settings and remote training locations, allowing colleges to conduct simulation exercises outside fixed facilities.
The contract gives member institutions access to a common technology option as community colleges seek to train more nurses, allied health workers and first responders amid continued workforce demand.
“Community colleges play a critical role in preparing the healthcare workforce,” EMS Chief Executive Officer Louis Faustini said. He added that the system could help faculty train more students and extend simulation beyond traditional laboratory spaces.
