KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Summerfest, one of Chester County’s largest summer food and beverage festivals, is approaching capacity ahead of its June 14 return to downtown Kennett Square, with organizers reporting that only a limited number of tickets remain available.

The annual event, scheduled from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, will bring together wineries, cideries, meaderies, food vendors, artisans, musicians, and community organizations in the borough’s downtown business district.

Organizers say the festival has evolved beyond a traditional wine-tasting event, positioning itself as a broader community celebration that draws visitors from across the Brandywine Valley and surrounding region.

“While we’re proud to feature some of the region’s top wineries, Summerfest is about much more than wine,” Mary Lou Baily, development manager for Kennett Collaborative, said in a statement. “It’s our community’s kickoff to summer, a chance to gather with friends and neighbors, discover local food and drink, enjoy live music, explore creativity, and experience everything that makes Kennett Square so special.”

Attendees will have access to unlimited tastings from participating wineries, cideries, and meaderies, along with a growing selection of nonalcoholic beverages, including mocktails and alcohol-free products from regional producers.

The event will also feature an interactive community mural created by local artist Val Steur. Festivalgoers will be invited to contribute to the artwork, which was designed using virtual reality technology and translated into a large paint-by-numbers installation.

Additional attractions include an outdoor lounge area furnished by Gish’s Furniture, complimentary temporary tattoos created by State Street Tattoo, and a wine check service operated by Catalina Weddings & Events, allowing guests to store purchased bottles during the festival.

Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the afternoon, beginning with the Nisarg Shah Jazz Trio at 2 p.m. Line dancing with Calabrese Arts is planned for 3:30 p.m., followed by a performance from The Groove Street Brass. Penny Samar, a contestant on Season 23 of “American Idol,” is scheduled to appear as lead vocalist with the group.

A limited number of VIP tickets also remain available. The upgraded experience includes a catered reception hosted at the Holly Peters Design Center, featuring food and wine pairings, early festival access, and an indoor, climate-controlled setting.

Kennett Summerfest is presented by Kennett Collaborative and has become a recurring economic and tourism event for downtown Kennett Square, drawing visitors to local businesses and hospitality venues during the summer season.

The festival will take place Sunday, June 14, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Kennett Square.
