COATESVILLE, PA — A quarter-century after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Coatesville community will gather to remember the thousands of lives lost and ensure their memory remains part of the region’s shared history.
The National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum will host its “Coatesville Remembers September 11th” commemorative service on Sept. 11, marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
The observance will begin at 8:40 a.m. at the museum, offering local residents an opportunity to pause together in remembrance of those who died on Sept. 11, 2001.
Organizers describe the service with a simple message: “They should never be forgotten.”
The anniversary carries particular significance as communities across the country reflect on 25 years since the attacks and on the lives of the victims, their families and others forever affected by the events of that morning.
For those unable to attend in person, the Coatesville ceremony will also be streamed live through the National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum’s website.
