WEST CHESTER, PA — Water Babies has opened a new swimming instruction location at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Chester, expanding access to infant and toddler water safety lessons as the international swim school continues its growth across the United States.

The location, which opened in September, offers structured swimming instruction for children beginning at birth, with programs designed to develop water confidence, swimming abilities, and safety awareness.

The expansion brings Water Babies’ teaching programs to families in West Chester and surrounding Main Line and Chester County communities.

Dmitry Karlov, the Water Babies Main Line & Chester County franchisee, described the opening as an opportunity to introduce younger children to swimming in a supportive environment.

“Our lessons are about so much more than swimming – they’re about helping children build confidence in and around the water from their very first splash,” Karlov explained.

The school’s instructors use a child-led teaching approach intended to help infants, toddlers, and their parents become comfortable in the pool while gradually developing swimming skills.

Programs are available from birth through early childhood. Children ages 4 and older can participate in Swimvincible, a program focused on building greater independence and swimming proficiency as participants progress.

The expansion also addresses a significant childhood safety concern.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1 through 4 in the United States.

Water Babies incorporates water safety instruction into its lessons, emphasizing familiarity with aquatic environments and age-appropriate swimming skills.

The company also promotes the physical and social benefits of early swimming instruction, including opportunities for parents and children to strengthen their relationships through shared activities.

Founded in the United Kingdom in 2002, Water Babies has taught more than 500,000 children worldwide, according to company figures.

Its international network now delivers lessons at more than 500 pools and serves over 80,000 children annually.

The West Chester opening is part of a broader U.S. expansion that includes new locations in Michigan, Georgia, Texas and Florida.

“We can’t wait to support local families and give more children the opportunity to learn skills that could make a lifelong difference,” Karlov added.

With lessons now underway at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Chester, Water Babies is extending its swimming and water safety programs to more families in the region while continuing its expansion into additional U.S. markets.
