On Wednesday, March 25, periodic lane closures will be in place on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Old Forty Foot Road/Evansburg Road and Kerr Road. Traffic will be reduced intermittently as crews continue roadway and bridge construction tied to the $7 million project.

No formal detours are planned, but drivers should expect intermittent backups through the work zone, especially during late-morning and early-afternoon travel. Plan extra time if your commute includes this stretch of Skippack Pike and remain alert for flaggers and shifting lane patterns.

The project will replace the aging 90-year-old bridge with a new single-span reinforced concrete structure designed to improve durability and safety. The upgraded bridge will carry two 12-foot travel lanes and 8-foot shoulders.

All work is weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions change.
