Teleflex Launches Center to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance

WAYNE, PATeleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX) has unveiled the Teleflex Center for Antimicrobial Protection (TCAP), a dedicated arm of its Vascular Access business unit. The new center, set in Research Triangle, North Carolina, aims to address the growing threat of infections from multidrug-resistant organisms — often referred to as “superbugs.”

These infections pose significant risks to patients, potentially leading to severe complications and prolonged hospital stays. TCAP will serve as a hub for education and collaboration with infection prevention professionals, striving to be a valuable resource for patients, physicians, and healthcare organizations.

“Teleflex strives to deliver vascular access products that are designed to benefit both clinicians and patients by helping to reduce vascular access-related complications,” stated Lisa Kudlacz, President and General Manager of Teleflex Vascular.
