KENNETT SQUARE, PA — State Representative Christina Sappey is inviting the senior residents of Kennett Square and surrounding areas to a special Senior Citizen Fair, designed to provide valuable information, health screenings, and much more. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Unionville High School gymnasium, located at 750 Unionville Road.

This fair is set to be an invaluable resource for seniors, offering direct access to a wide range of vendors who will share insights into state programs and services, healthcare options, legal assistance, and other essential services tailored for the senior community.

In an effort to promote health and well-being, attendees will have the opportunity to undergo various health screenings at the fair. These include blood pressure readings and hearing tests, crucial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, COVID and RSV vaccinations will be available on-site for those who can present a valid ID and insurance card, ensuring our senior citizens stay protected against prevalent health threats.

A highlight for many will be the chance for individuals aged 65 or older to apply for or renew their SEPTA Senior Key Card, making public transportation more accessible and convenient. This service requires a photo ID for participation.

Beyond the practical offerings, the Senior Citizen Fair promises a festive atmosphere with music and light refreshments, making it a perfect outing for seniors looking to enjoy a day filled with fun, learning, and community spirit.

In the spirit of giving back, Kennett Area Community Service will be present to collect non-perishable food donations. While not a requirement for attendance, contributions to this cause are highly encouraged and appreciated.
