DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Thirteen-year-old Chester County martial artist Mannat Badh captured the 2026 USA Taekwondo National Championship in sparring after advancing through state and regional competitions, adding a national title to her competitive résumé.
Badh, a Red Belt at Lupo Taekwondo in Downingtown, won the national sparring championship in the girls’ Red Belt division for ages 12 to 14. She also earned a bronze medal in Traditional Poomsae while competing against 14 athletes from across the country.
Her national championship followed victories at the USA Taekwondo Pennsylvania and New Jersey state championships and the Eastern Regionals earlier this year.
Outside of competition, Badh assists senior instructors with beginner classes, helping younger students develop confidence and martial arts skills. She is scheduled to test for her Black Belt this fall.
Master Antonio Orlando, a seventh-degree Black Belt and head sparring coach for Team M.O.S.T. at Lupo Taekwondo, described Badh’s work ethic as a key factor in her success.
“She comes to every practice ready to learn, works incredibly hard, and constantly looks for ways to improve,” Orlando stated. “If she continues on this path, she has the potential to earn a place on the USA National Team.”
Lupo Taekwondo owner Master Robert Fox characterized Badh’s greatest accomplishment as the example she sets for younger students.
“She leads by example, volunteers to help younger students, and lives the values we teach,” Fox stated. “She is an outstanding role model for young girls and boys in our community.”
