KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Drivers should prepare for four nights of alternating lane closures on eastbound U.S. 30 (Exton Bypass) beginning Tuesday, September 8, as crews continue work connected to long-term sinkhole repairs in Chester County.

Alternating lane closures will be in place nightly through Friday, September 11, with each restriction continuing until 5:00 AM the following morning.
Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays are expected through the work zone. Use caution when approaching construction crews and shifting lane restrictions. The schedule depends on weather conditions.
The work is part of a $6.8 million project to permanently repair sinkholes at two locations between Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Clover Mill Road in West Whiteland and East Caln townships.
Crews will drill holes through the pavement in a grid pattern and inject pressurized grout into underground voids. The process is intended to stabilize the ground beneath the highway and reduce the risk of future sinkholes.
Additional work includes pavement reconstruction, drainage pipe replacement, and stabilization of roadside drainage swales.
Road-Con, of West Chester, is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with federal funds.
