Creek Road Drivers Face Nearly Two Weeks of Daytime Detours

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Motorists traveling through Wallace and West Nantmeal townships should prepare for extended weekday detours as PennDOT closes a section of Route 282 (Creek Road) for roadway base repairs.

PennDOT said Route 282 (Creek Road) will be closed between Fairview Road and Route 82 (Manor Road) during daytime hours on weekdays beginning Monday, June 8.

The closure will remain in effect through Thursday, June 18, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM each weekday, weather permitting.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Fairview Road and Route 82 (Manor Road) to travel around the work zone.

Local access will be maintained throughout the project, according to PennDOT.

Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and possible delays along the detour route, particularly during morning and afternoon travel periods. Plan extra time for trips through the area and seek alternate routes when practical.
