During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 340 (Kings Highway), U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass), and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) to travel around the work zone.

Local access will be maintained throughout the project.

The $1.9 million project includes construction of a new retaining wall along approximately 140 feet of roadway, installation of guiderail, reconstruction of roughly 400 feet of roadway and shoulders, and additional pavement improvements.

Because the closure is expected to remain in place for more than five months, motorists should expect significant changes to travel patterns and increased traffic along the detour route. Plan extra time for trips through the area and seek alternate routes when practical.
