PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department‘s Homicide Unit is actively seeking the public’s help to identify four individuals captured in surveillance footage in connection with a fatal shooting incident. This tragic event occurred on August 6, 2024, at approximately 12:59 AM in the 5400 block of Walnut Street, where a 30-year-old male victim was shot multiple times while seated in his vehicle.

The attack was allegedly carried out by individuals in a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee, which crashed along with the victim’s vehicle a block away. Following the crash, four individuals were seen fleeing from the suspect vehicle, which police later discovered had been reported as stolen. Surveillance video excerpts show that two of the suspects attempted to evade police by hiding on a front porch nearby.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this homicide case. Authorities urge the public not to approach the individuals depicted in the footage if encountered. Instead, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police immediately via 911.
