Teen Girl Shot in Wilmington, Police Seek Answers

WILMINGTON, DE — Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage girl injured Wednesday afternoon in Wilmington.

According to Wilmington Police, officers responded at approximately 4:19 p.m. on April 8 to the 1400 block of North Walnut Street for a reported shooting.

Police reported that a 17-year-old female was located with a gunshot wound and transported to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Authorities said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
