WILMINGTON, DE — A 16-year-old male juvenile has been arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of a loaded handgun, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
The incident occurred on April 12, at approximately 10:48 p.m., when officers from the department’s Uniformed Services Division were patrolling the 200 block of Delamore Place. While in the area, officers observed a male acting suspiciously. When they attempted to approach the individual, he fled on foot.

Following his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, the juvenile was committed to the New Castle County Detention Center with bail set at $7,000 cash-only.
Authorities have emphasized that these charges remain allegations, and the juvenile is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
