COATESVILLE, PA — A full day of reggae-inspired music, local art, and family activities will bring the community together in Coatesville this weekend for a free outdoor festival supporting children and families affected by cancer.

Lionheart Music Fest PA will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon to 8 p.m. at Brandywine Outfitters, 2094 Strasburg Road. Presented by cannabis company Trulieve in partnership with Kent’s Cause Foundation, the event will combine live entertainment, food vendors, arts and crafts, workshops, and children’s activities while raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research and support.

The festival is open to all ages, with free admission for families, friends, and community members interested in enjoying a day of entertainment while contributing to a charitable cause.

At the heart of the gathering is Kent’s Cause Foundation, an organization dedicated to serving children with cancer. The partnership aims to connect the festival’s community-focused atmosphere with efforts to support families facing pediatric cancer and advance research.

Music will anchor the eight-hour celebration, with performances featuring reggae, roots, and community artists. Organizers have not yet released the complete artist lineup.

Beyond the stage, visitors can explore a marketplace featuring local artisans, makers and craft vendors showcasing their work. Food and beverage vendors will also be on-site throughout the day.

Families with younger children will find a dedicated Kids Zone offering face painting, a moon bounce and other activities designed to keep children entertained while parents enjoy the festival.

Hands-on workshops and community gatherings will provide additional opportunities for visitors to participate, learn, and connect with others.

The combination of music, creative activities, and family entertainment is intended to make the event accessible to a broad audience, including residents who may be attending primarily to support the foundation’s mission.

By offering free admission, organizers are encouraging community participation while using the gathering to bring attention to the challenges faced by children undergoing cancer treatment and the families supporting them.
