State Police Seize Drugs and Gun During Arrest in Upper Oxford Township

UPPER OXFORD TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of 22-year-old Zaire Jackson of Cliffwood, New Jersey, and 25-year-old Kishaun Bethea of Dover, Delaware on drug and gun charges.

Authorities state that on April 9, 2022, at 11:31 PM, a Trooper with the Avondale Station observed a black 2016 Dodge Dart, with New Jersey registration J11MNH, traveling north on Ashmun Avenue in Upper Oxford Township toward Baltimore Pike. The vehicle had committed several traffic violations and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle’s operator, identified as Zaire Jackson, is reported to have displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of alcohol.

The vehicle was towed to Avondale Station and a search consent was acquired from the vehicle’s owner, Kishaun Bethea. Discovered inside the vehicle were 149 grams of marijuana, 201 individual resealable packages, a scale, and a .22 caliber Glock 44 handgun. Troopers say Bethea admitted to the drugs and handgun.
