Oxford Man Arrested on Active Warrant During Traffic Stop in Landenberg

LANDENBERG, PA — The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department apprehended a man wanted by Maryland State Police during a routine traffic stop in the early hours of Saturday, December 9, 2023.

At approximately 1:07 AM, police officers initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Starr Road in Landenberg. Upon making contact with the passenger, identified as 32-year-old Antonio Flores-Flores of Oxford, PA, officers discovered that he had an active warrant for his arrest issued by the Maryland State Police.

Flores-Flores was immediately transported to Chester County Prison following his arrest. He could not post the $2,500 monetary bail set during his arraignment. A preliminary hearing at the District Court has since been scheduled for December 15, 2023.

The lone charge against Flores-Flores is detailed as ‘Arrest Prior to Requisition,’ according to the police report ID# RD-23-003858. This legal term refers to the arrest of an individual who is suspected of committing a crime in a state other than where they were found.

The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department is reminding the public that an arrest or criminal complaint is not equivalent to a declaration of guilt. Any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
