UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — A Maryland man is facing charges in Pennsylvania and Maryland following a joint investigation into alleged sexual offenses involving juvenile victims in both states, according to authorities.
The Upper Chichester Police Department announced that a collaborative investigation with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland led to the arrest of 28-year-old Jonathan Andrew Myers of Maryland.
According to investigators, Upper Chichester police responded on April 19 to a report involving the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile victim. During the investigation, detectives determined that a 14-year-old female had allegedly been involved in an unlawful sexual relationship with Myers.
Police said information developed during the investigation was shared with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, which subsequently identified an additional alleged victim within its jurisdiction.
Based on evidence gathered during the joint investigation, Maryland authorities took Myers into custody and filed charges related to the alleged victim in Harford County, according to investigators.
Authorities said Myers is currently being held in Maryland pending extradition to Pennsylvania, where he is expected to face additional charges connected to the Upper Chichester investigation.
According to police, the Pennsylvania charges include statutory sexual assault, indecent assault of a person younger than 16, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
