WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police reported arresting a 22-year-old man Aug. 31 after officers allegedly observed drug-related activity on West 3rd Street.
Police reported that members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street at approximately 10:42 a.m. when they observed a man allegedly engaged in drug-related activity.
Officers made contact with 22-year-old Trudell Powell and took him into custody without incident, according to police.
Police allege officers recovered 3.12 grams of crack cocaine and $150 in U.S. currency.
Powell was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to police.
Police reported that Powell was arraigned in New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
