Two Loaded Guns Recovered During Wilmington Investigation

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man faces firearm charges after police allegedly recovered two loaded handguns during an investigation this week.

According to Wilmington Police, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the area of Lancaster Avenue and South Harrison Street at approximately 3:25 p.m. on June 9 when they made contact with an individual who was allegedly armed with a loaded 9mm handgun.

Police reported that the individual, identified as 31-year-old Chance Warren, was also allegedly found in possession of a second loaded 9mm handgun.

According to investigators, Warren was taken into custody without incident.

Police charged Warren with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

Court records cited by police show Warren was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and released after posting $13,100 secured bail.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
