Police reported that officers responded to the 2800 block of North Market Street at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Nov. 9 for a reported robbery. According to investigators, a female suspect allegedly displayed a knife during the incident before fleeing the area.
Less than two months later, at approximately 4:04 a.m. on Jan. 3, officers responded to the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk for a reported cutting incident.
According to police, a 39-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman sought treatment at a hospital after the incident. Investigators said both victims were treated for injuries and released in stable condition.
The investigations were assigned to Detectives Avery Stewart and Douglas Rivell of the Criminal Investigations Division. According to police, detectives identified 33-year-old Tanekqua Stanford as a suspect in both cases and obtained warrants for her arrest.
Police said Stanford was taken into custody without incident on June 15.
