NEW CASTLE, DE — A 32-year-old New Castle man is facing multiple felony charges after New Castle County police said detectives linked him to a shots-fired incident that damaged a vehicle but left no one injured.
Officers responded at approximately 6:24 p.m. Sept. 12 to the 100 block of Parma Avenue in the Arbor Place Townhouses community for a reported shots-fired incident, according to police.
Police said officers found several fired cartridge casings in the roadway and determined that a vehicle had been struck by gunfire. No one was reported injured.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit took over the case, according to police.
During the investigation, detectives identified a Subaru with a Pennsylvania registration plate and a Chevrolet Silverado with a Delaware registration plate as possible vehicles involved, police said. Investigators used automated license plate reader technology to identify the vehicles and obtain registration information.
Police said both vehicles were later located in another New Castle community.
Investigators subsequently identified Antonio Feliciano Jr., 32, of New Castle, as the person they allege fired a gun on Parma Avenue following an altercation involving several people.
Feliciano turned himself in to New Castle County police headquarters on Sept. 13, according to police.
He was charged with two felony counts of first-degree reckless endangering, one felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief under $1,000.
Feliciano was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $95,000 cash bail, police reported.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
