WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a 22-year-old Elsmere man after a weeks-long investigation into vehicle thefts led officers to a stolen car and multiple search warrants spanning two locations.

According to police, the inquiry began in October when the Traffic Unit identified Rashawn Brown as a suspect in an ongoing vehicle theft probe. The investigation advanced on November 19, when officers located a stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of East 16th Street in Wilmington.

Detectives subsequently secured warrants to search Brown’s residence in Elsmere and a garage in the 1400 block of Northeast Boulevard. Authorities say the searches provided sufficient evidence to obtain arrest warrants tied to vehicle theft and related activities.
