Porch Piracy Ends in Arrest on Oxford Streets

Arrested

OXFORD, PA — A 42-year-old Oxford man has been charged after police say he allegedly stole a package from a residential porch and was later found with the item in his possession.

According to Oxford police, officers were dispatched at 10:27 a.m. Sunday to the unit block of North Third Street for a reported theft. Police reported that a victim told officers an unknown individual had taken a package that had been delivered earlier that day.

Investigators said surveillance footage reviewed at the scene led officers to identify the suspect as Derrick Lowe, 42, of Oxford. Police reported that Lowe was located a short time later in the 200 block of South Fourth Street and taken into custody.
