NEWARK, DE — Newark police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted on a felony warrant stemming from an investigation that began earlier this year.
According to the Newark Police Department, detectives launched an investigation involving 25-year-old Galaye Dieng in March 2026.
Following the investigation, Detective Master Cpl. William Anderson obtained a warrant charging Dieng with third-degree rape, a Class B felony, according to police.
Authorities reported that Dieng’s current whereabouts are unknown. Police said his last known location was in the City of Newark.
Dieng is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, with brown eyes and closely cut black hair.
Police are asking anyone who sees Dieng to contact their local law enforcement agency or call 911. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Master Cpl. William Anderson at 302-366-7110, ext. 3469, or by email at wanderson@newark.de.us.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
